Our story
It started with someone paying attention.
At 55.5 kg, I was the lightest I wanted to be.
Eating more sounded like the obvious answer. Actually doing it was another story.
I was a picky eater. I got tired of eating quickly. Large meals were difficult for me, and being consistent with food was even harder.
I kept saying I needed to eat more.
My partner could see I wasn't managing it.
So she decided to make something for me.
Eating more was easier said than done.
There was no complicated insight at the beginning.
I simply wasn't eating enough.
I could plan to eat more. I could tell myself tomorrow would be different. But when tomorrow came, I still had the same problem: eating enough food consistently was difficult for me.
And it was beginning to affect how I felt day to day.
My partner saw all of it.
Instead of telling me to eat another plate of food, she started looking for another way to help me get more food into my day.
That search took her somewhere familiar: Tombrown.
The woman behind the recipe.
Tombrown is already familiar in many Nigerian homes, but there isn't one universal recipe for it.
So my partner didn't simply copy one.
She started developing her own.
She took the familiar idea of combining grains, legumes and other foods into a blend and began adjusting it around what I actually needed: something substantial, practical to prepare, and easy for me to make part of my day.
The ingredients changed.
The quantities changed.
The recipe changed.
Three versions later, we arrived at the blend we use today.
Groundnuts. Whole soybeans. Bambara groundnuts. Oats. Millet. White guinea corn. Dried plantain. Dates. Tigernuts. Ginger. Ceylon cinnamon.
11 familiar ingredients.
ONE DEFINED RECIPE.
And at that point, it still wasn't a business.
She was just trying to help her partner.
Then people started noticing.
I stuck with the routine.
And over time, something happened that neither of us had planned for: people started asking questions.
What are you taking?
What's inside it?
How are you doing it?
Can I get some too?
The thing she'd been making for one person suddenly had other people interested.
And that made us think.
Maybe I wasn't the only person for whom “just eat more” was easier said than done.
Maybe something created in our kitchen could be useful beyond it.
That's when the recipe started becoming something more.
A personal recipe became Everyday Blend.
We didn't rush it.
What eventually became REPLEN has been in the works for months, including around three months spent developing and refining the blend itself.
Through three versions, we kept coming back to the same questions:
What's actually in it?
Is it practical to prepare?
Can we make the recipe consistent?
Can we be clear about what people are getting?
That process eventually gave us the formulation we have today.
And we gave it a name:
EVERYDAY BLEND
A Whole-Food Nutrition Powder built from familiar ingredients and designed to complement normal meals.
No artificial additives. No cooking required. Ready in seconds.
Stir it. Shake it. Blend it.
READY IN SECONDS.
What started as something my partner made for me had become REPLEN.
Because I wasn’t the only one trying to find an easier way.
REPLEN began with my own struggle to eat enough consistently while trying to gain weight.
And the principle behind it is simple: intentional weight gain requires eating enough over time.
That’s what Everyday Blend is designed to help with.
It’s a convenient, food-first way to add more energy and nutrition to your day, especially when fitting in more food isn’t always easy.
Have it alongside your normal meals. Stir it with water or milk. Blend it with fruit. Enjoy it with yoghurt.
Everyday Blend supports intentional healthy weight gain by helping you add more to what you already eat — without another full cooking session.
That’s the role REPLEN was created to play.
MADE TO COMPLEMENT MEALS.
Make something you'd give to someone you care about.
That was true before REPLEN had a name.
We want it to remain true as REPLEN grows.
Use familiar ingredients.
Tell people what's inside.
Make the nutrition information clear.
Don't hide behind complicated language.
Don't make promises food can't make.
Make the product practical enough to have a place in someone's actual life.
Because before there was a pack, a website or a brand, there was one person trying to take care of another.
That's the standard we're building REPLEN around.
Good nutrition goes a long way.
REPLEN began in our kitchen with a recipe made for one person.
Today, we're making Everyday Blend for people pursuing intentional healthy weight gain who want another practical food option alongside their normal meals.
REPLEN
GOOD NUTRITION IS OVERDUE.
